Research at the ASAP Lab

Our research is primarily focused on the overlap, assessment and treatment of anxiety, trauma and autism. This work explores sources and manifestations of stress in individuals on the autism spectrum to inform the development and testing of new clinical assessment tools and psychotherapies. More broadly, we explore psychiatric comorbidity in autism and how improved recognition, prevention and treatment of such comorbidity—through community settings—may improve functional outcomes and reduce suffering for individuals on the spectrum.
