Dr. Dudarev studies social cognition – that is, basic cognitive processes that allow us to communicate and interact with other humans to bring about change in the world. She investigates how we perceive other people: their intentions, mindsets, actions, and feedback, as well as how we coordinate our actions with those of others. She examines these processes, their boundary conditions, and interactions between them, by employing ecologically valid designs and novel technology, and testing diverse populations of participants.
